American Antique Folk Art
American Antique folk art is a collectors paradise! The raw talent that produced some of the most utilitarian objects into things of beauty were made by people with little or no formal artistic training. Inspired by their families, country farmers, homemakers, school girls, laborers, blacksmiths, merchants and even slaves shared the need to create. Hand made objects recognized as works of art include ( a small listing): trade signs, carved sculptures, weathervanes, painted furniture, gameboards, needlework, portraiture and hooked rugs. They are all familiar creations known as the culture of American Antique Folk Art.
